I'm full aware Vgchartz is not 100% accurate and is ballpark figures but so what? Its a free service that aims to give numbers unlike NPD or whatever that wants $20,000 off you if you want to see numbers like these. I have no problem with it and if you choose not to believe then thats cool. Where's the beef? The angry fanboy above needs to get a life. And you do understand that the wii has yet to have a price cut to regain momentum. You know the price cut that enables the ps2 to be selling on par with the wii.

Although VgChartz may have slightly overestimated it seeing as they said in the article that they predicted a 400% increase.
The key for Sony really is how long will this boost last.
Maybe some people prefered the look of the fat ps3 and decided to rush out and get it while they still could.

How worked up do you want to get about sales numbers. Especially when if you were actually in the know with the industry you would know fundamental things such as the idea that Sony uses 'sold to consumer' numbers is wrong. They use 'sold to retailer' numbers like everyone else. Really what is the point in spreading untruths? The ps3 is selling fine as it is and tbh such hilarious fanboy outbursts just shows how insecure you really are about the numbers.

It really is very hard to get accurate damage tho. Having said that you sorta expect the best from gran turismo so i'd be quite disappointed if it was very very basic.

Even asking about the wii is stupid. According to figures from Sony and Nintendo the wii has around a 27 million lead since they were simultaneously launched. Sony project to get to around 34 million by March 2010 whilst Nintendo project to be around 68 million sold. Erasing a gap of 30 million will never happen imo (especially seeing as the wii has NEVER had a price cut). If it does happen it will take atleast 4 years.
